News - Guyana Police Force Launches Youth Project at Itaballi

Ranks of the Guyana Police Force in ‘F’ Division under the command of a dedicated and
pro-active Commander, Senior Superintendent, Ravindradat Budhram, are being utilsed to their fullest in keeping with the Police Force Revised Mission Statement (The Mission of the Guyana Police Force and its Auxiliaries is to serve all citizens and communities of Guyana in a professional, pro-active and accountable manner. To achieve this we will work in partnership with communities, public agencies and private bodies to enhance and support an environment where all people are preventing crime and building a safer and secure Guyana).

On Sunday November 08, 2015, Woman Corporal 17011 Denise Bourne of Itaballi Check Point, Mazaruni, Region No. 7, successfully launched a ‘Block Making Project’ for the youths in the village.

The project which is spearheaded by members of the community will see twenty five (25) youths between the ages of 13 to 14 years, learning a life skill at their tender age, over a three weeks period.

The very group which was formed by Commander Budhram earlier this year has already benefited from courses in arts and craft and embroidery.
