“Public Relations Office” (PRO) of the Guyana Police Force (GPF) has largely transitioned into the Corporate Communications Unit (CCU). This unit is the primary bridge between the police force and the public.
As of early 2026, the unit is typically led by a civilian Director of Communications rather than a uniformed officer, a shift made to modernize the force’s media relations.
