Earlier today Police, Commissioner Clifton Hicken, along with Deputy Commissioners Ravindradat Budhram and Errol Watts, met with the officer in charge and ranks of the Force’s Special Weapons and Tactics Unit (SWAT) at the Commissioner’s Conference Room, Eve Leary.

The primary focus of the meeting was to discuss the yearly development plan for the SWAT Unit, which included comprehensive training, strategic goals, and other key initiatives aimed at enhancing the unit’s operational capabilities.

The Commissioner and members of his Executive Leadership Team reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring that the SWAT Unit remains highly skilled, well-prepared, and capable of responding to any challenges effectively.

Through continued investment in training and resources, the unit is set to make an even greater impact in the protection of our communities.

The meeting further highlighted the Force’s dedication to building a professional, disciplined, and responsive unit that can meet the evolving needs of our nation.
