That part of the state which extends from the watersheds between the tributaries of the Barama and Cuyuni Rivers, the Waini and Cuyuni Rivers, Supenaam and Cuyuni Rivers at its northern extremity to the watershed between the tributaries of the Mazaruni and Potaro Rivers at its southern extremity and from the Essequibo River at its eastern extremity to the common boundary between Guyana and Venezuela at its western extremity.
