In promoting improvement of public trust and confidence, maintaining safety and security through competence, Professionalism and partnership with members of the Public/ Community.

Sergeant Brandt the Subordinate Officer in charge of Whim Police Station, Corporal Leacock, Detective Corporall Bourne, Constables Smartt and Sanichar along with NHP Pestano conducted a Community Engagement with residents of Train Line/Ankerville Village, Corentyne, Berbice.

The following concerns were raised by residents:

* Young people smoking drugs

* Thieves in the area

* More street lights needed

* Opportunity for young and unemployed people

* More police Patrols especially at nights

The aim of this initiative is to give a listening ears to the issues and concerns affecting residents within the Community and Strengthening Partnerships with members of the Public.

Outreaches are ongoing throughout Regional Division #6 as the Guyana Police Force continues to develop partnership with stakeholders.
