As part of its continued efforts to engage and build partnerships in communities, a team of ranks from Regional Division 4โ€™Bโ€™ conducted another successful kite distribution exercise on Monday, April 14, 2025. The activity was led by Woman Assistant Superintendent Gillian Simmons, Inspector G. Jewan, Sergeant Roberts, and other ranks attached to the Grove Police Station.

Kites were distributed to children residing in the following communities along the East Bank:

Wrong Turn, Kaneville

Hammer Head, Kaneville

Friendship Squatting Area

The initiative brought smiles and excitement to the faces of the young recipients. In addition to distributing kites, ranks took the opportunity to speak with the children on the importance of:

* Remaining in school and pursuing education

* Making positive choices

* Staying out of trouble

* Flying their kites safely in open spaces

This exercise forms part of the Divisionโ€™s broader commitment to youth engagement, crime prevention, and community development. By fostering positive interactions with law enforcement from an early age, the division continues to build trust and mutual respect between the police and the communities they serve.

Division 4B, remains dedicated to supporting the nationโ€™s youth and promoting safe communities for citizens.
