……Regional Division #8
On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, a team of officers and ranks of Regional Division #8, successfully distributed a number of educational and recreational supply kits to youth groups across several villages and interior communities in the Region.
The initiative was led by Commander of Region #8, Superintendent Ravindra Stanley, along with Deputy Superintendent Elton Davidson, Detective Inspector Dath, Sergeants Blackman, Murray, Phillips, Corporal Daniels, and other ranks from the Division.
The following areas were visited as part of this initiative:
* Central Mahdia
* Campbelltown Village
* Micobie Village
* El Paso Village
* Princeville Village
* Kato Station District
* Monkey Mountain District
* Orinduik Station District
During the visit, the kits containing educational supplies, hygiene items, and recreational materials were distributed to all the yout groups within the listed communities.
As part of the Guyana Police Force’s Social Crime Prevention Strategy, this initiative aims to support development, encourage positive engagement, and promote safety.
During their engagement, the officers took the opportunity to interact with the children, sharing important safety tips, particularly regarding kite flying; a popular activity among youths during this Easter season.
Community engagements are ongoing throughout Regional Division #8.
