𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

On April 15, 2025, the Guyana Association of Women Police (GAWP) held its first official meeting of the year. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and finalize the calendar of activities planned for 2025. The gathering was well-attended by members of the executive body and representatives from all policing regional divisions.

The meeting commenced with the association’s prayer and opening remarks from Senior Superintendent Dr. Nicola Kendall, who is the President of the GAWP, she emphasized the importance of the work of the association snd also highlighted that the association has some work to do with regards to appearance and conduct especially as it related to female members of the organization.

During the open discussion, the members suggested additional activities, such as a hat show and a hamper distribution for single-parent females throughout the regions for the upcoming 2025–2026 school term.

The GAWP will be engaging female members of the in all Regional Divisions in the coming months.
